It's first and foremost a generous and public lounge. This is a place where artists, cultural souls and ordinary people meet up for a good meal or just a drink. Lorry has a broad menu to choose from, but it is mainly known for having 129 different types of beer. The environment is kind but full of atmosphere
Arrangements:
The seating at the 1 floor is perfect for parties, business dinners, anniversaries and other arrangements. This floor can be rented privately with seating for up to 100 guests. The room has a bar, a sophisticated fireplace and an entrance to the terrace for smokers.
The Smokers Terrace:
Please visit our charming and provincial ‘Smokers Terrace' at the 1 floor. This outdoor room that has loads of heaters, makes this place feel like summer all year around! The terrace is open every day between 5pm and 11.45pm. (Saturdays: 2pm)

Lorry is one of the oldest restaurants in Oslo, well known for having a free and vibrant atmosphere. The walls are filled with decoration, and the clients relax in the deep, comfortable leather couches. The waiter has a profound respect for his job, wearing black uniforms, white shirts and black tie.

Lorry is defined by being a cultural institution but is also called the Best Pub in town. This is mainly because of its 129 different types of beer, but also because of its reputation of myths and stories. Lorry is a brand: every room and every corner of these two floors are covered with art and decoration. Lorry appeals to the man on the street, from east to west, rich as poor, arty or non-arty, old as young. Actors, writers, artists, bohemian, politicians and journalists also visit Lorry regularly.
“A ride to Hell”
This messy and chaotic place full of surprises must be hard for a humans symmetric eye to balance. It's a tough but interesting road of sculptures, giraffes, dinosaur eggs and model ships constantly pushing the boundaries. The guest has to carefully watch his steps. Abnormal is the standard for Lorry and make this place unique and different.
Imagine a very exciting labyrinth with a worldwide road to accomplish it.
“Animal Farm”
Lorry has Norway biggest collection of stuffed animals:
Giraffe, zebra, antelope, lion, bear, African onyx, pigs, moose, deer, pigs, birds etc.
You name it.
“Antiques and other interesting things”
Among all the objects in this restaurant you can find the most random things from Europe, Africa and Asian countries.
Example of this is a real dinosaur egg from the ‘Charcharodontosaurus' followed by four gigantic dinosaur teeth, two original letters from the 15th century, four Russian iconic from the 19th century, a sculpture of Virgin Mary and a catholic cardinal, a south Italian confession alter from 19th century, two Buddha figures, original letters from Maurice Chevaliers and Andre Gide, a German war helmet from the 17th century, a torso, Chinese terracotta figures, Engraved doors from china and morocco, a collection of African, Venetians and French masks and much much more…….

Bookings for November and December will start from Monday 3 of September
In November and December we only do two bookings, one at 5.15pm and 8.15 pm (ground floor) and at 5pm and 8pm (1 floor)
Please note that the food needs to be ordered a day in advance for a booking of 6 people or more.
Please note that for 10 people or more, the menu is reduced to max 3 different meals to choose from
